This was the first draft that I completed. It the majority of the elements I Intended to feature, however after referring back to my flat plans I decided I needed to add more features. In this second version I decided I needed to add more pull quotes to further advertise the articles that will feature in my magazine. I also decided to extend the translucent box behind the main cover line so it covered all the text. I then changed the gradient colour to black to make it easier to see the entire cover line.
In my final version I decided to add another two pull quotes to further advertise the articles that will feature in my magazine. I also decided to make the entire cover line white and remove the translucent box from behind it as this made my front cover look more professional.

I saved my magazine front cover in Adobe Photoshop as this is industry standard software that is used by professional graphic designers. It allows me to produce lossless, high quality files that are suitable for printing. Setting the resolution to 300 on my Adobe Photoshop document also helps it become more suitable for printing.

In this version of my contents page I created the main subheading. I used a large bold font to make them stand out and I also added a 'housestyle coloured' box behind them to make it easier for the reader to distinguish between the sections.

In this version of my contents page I have added my introduction to the top of the page. This has been done in a handwriting style to make it appear more personal as it has been written in the first person by "the editor". I have also started to add my page titles. Again I have written them in capitals in a bold font to make the stand out. To make it clear to my reader which articles are the most important I have added a red hexagon around their number. In this version of m contents page I have added my masthead in the top right corner. I have done this to keep the them of the magazine consistent and to further help create a brand. I have also added one of the graphics I created previously. This will attract the readers attention and help advertise one of the main articles featured in my magazine.

In this version of my double page spread I added a large image of my model to the left page to make it clear who the article is about. I added their name as the title of the article in bold font to make it stand out. I also created a player profile section that outlines basic facts about my model. Then, below that I added the introduction to my article.
In this version of my double page spread I added a slug to the top left page to make it clear what the topic of the article is. I made sure the slug was coloured with one of my housestyle colours in order to keep a consistent theme. Finally I added the rest of the article into the second page of my double page spread.
In this final version of my double page spread I added two images into my article, one being a profile shot I edited to look like a polaroid image that stand of the page and the other being an action shot of my model with a transparent background so it could be placed into my article so the text flows around it. I also added a border to one side of my page to fill up any remaining blank space and to make the DPS look more professional.
I saved my contents page and double page spread in Adobe Indesign as this is industry standard software that is used by professional graphic designers. It allows me to produce lossless, high quality files that are suitable for printing.
