LO4: Evidence of editing

The following three screenshots show me editing my main cover image to make my model look more photogenic. I used the curves tool, the contrast tool, and the saturation tool to alter the colours of the image to make it look less washed out. These changes will make the cover model appeal to the audience more.

This is a screenshot of a graphic I created to advertise one of my main articles on my cover page. To create the graphic I used the magnetic lasso tool to cut my model out from the background of the image. I then added my pull quote with a box behind it to make it stand out from my cover page. The coloured drop shadow I added to the boxes surrounding the pull quote also help it stand out from the page

This is a screenshot of a graphic I created to add to my double page spread. To create it I cropped the original image and used the magic lasso tool to remove the background. I did this so I could place the image in the middle of my article, allowing the text to flow around it.

This is a screenshot of a graphic I created to add to my contents page. To create it I cropped the original image and used the magic lasso tool to remove the background. I did this so I could place the image over a section of the contents, the transparent background meant that the page titles were still readable.

The following three screenshots show me creating the main plug used to advertise one of my feature articles on my contents page. I used the ellipse tool to create a number of circles of decreasing size so I could layer them in order to make it look like one large circle with a white rim just inside the edge. Once I created the original shape I added my text over the top of it
